20 jornadas de limpieza realizó Zofemat Los Cabos durante el último trimestre del 2021; se recolectaron más de 800 toneladas de basura

Los Cabos, B.C.S., 05 Ene.- Con el objetivo de fomentar la participación ciudadana respecto al cuidado y conservación de las playas, así como sobre los efectos de la contaminación, personal de la Coordinación Municipal de la Zona Federal Marítimo Terrestre (Zofemat) Los Cabos, realizaron 20 campañas de limpieza en estos espacios tan importantes del destino turístico, durante el último trimestre del 2021.
Al respecto, el coordinador municipal de Zofemat, Jorge Alonso Meza Núñez, informó que como resultado de estas tareas se logró recolectar un total de 66 mil 735 bolsas de residuos sólidos, correspondientes a 855 toneladas.
Asimismo, indicó que en el citado periodo además se realizaron 18 talleres sobre educación ambiental y 3 actividades dinámicas en playas platinos, -galardón otorgado a playas mexicanas para que sean reconocidas a nivel mundial por su belleza escénica y excelencia ambiental-; estas últimas actividades, correspondientes a la conmemoración del “Día del Cambio Climático”, “Día del No Consumismo” y “Día de los Derechos Humanos”.
Por otra parte, el coordinador de Zofemat Los Cabos señaló que en los primeros 90 días de Gobierno con sentido humano se efectuó la primera visita de control para refrendar la certificación internacional de 22 playas con bandera Blue Flag, y dar cumplimiento a los 33 criterios que se requieren en cuanto a estándares de calidad, seguridad, sustentabilidad y limpieza.
Entre las acciones que se desarrollaron en el 2021, -agregó-, también destaca la contratación de 5 guardavidas para dar cobertura y seguridad en playas que se consideran riesgosas, tales como: Buena Vista, Acapulquito, Santa María y Las Viudas. Para concluir, Meza Núñez subrayó que este año se intensificarán los trabajos permanentes que han permitido seguir atendiendo el compromiso de mantener limpias y vigiladas las playas cabeñas.
