Mediante jornadas protésicas SSA ofrece una mujer vida a pacientes con movilidad limitada

Un grupo de siete pacientes sudcalifornianos lograron un mejor futuro al resultar exitosas las cirugías ortopédicas recientemente desarrolladas por la Secretaría de Salud del Estado en el Hospital Salvatierra para colocarles prótesis de rodilla, y con ello recuperar la movilidad tras años de sufrir afectaciones que además provocarles agudos dolores les impedían desplazarse con libertad.
Estas cirugías fueron realizadas sin costo alguno para pacientes que no tienen seguridad social, ni recursos para solventar una operación de este tipo, como parte de la suma de esfuerzos que la administración del gobernador Carlos Mendoza Davis hace con instituciones como la Beneficencia Pública para mejorar la calidad de vida de población en vulnerabilidad extrema, indicó el secretario del ramo, Víctor George Flores.
El secretario de Salud destacó la responsabilidad profesional y vocación humanista del personal médico del Hospital Salvatierra que al efectuar estos procedimientos con resultados positivos, lo que permitirán que estas siete personas puedan –una vez concluida su rehabilitación- recuperar su movilidad y con ello sus condiciones de bienestar, al retomar actividades productivas y sociales que antes no podía realizar por el daño de su articulación.
En este sentido, la paciente María Dueñas Cayetano de 71 años de edad expresó que este tipo de cirugías son de gran ayuda para personas que como ella, no tienen los recursos económicos, ni el apoyo de una familia, para buscar una solución médica, por lo que insistió, gracias a esta operación podrá acceder a una mejor calidad de vida.
Estas cirugías son llevadas a cabo en el marco de la Jornada Protésica promovida por la Secretaría de Salud a través de la Beneficencia Pública de BCS, a través del departamento de Orto-Traumatología del Hospital Juan María de Salvatierra, encabezado por el doctor Rafael Carrillo Jiménez.
