Se impulsa la prevención de embarazos en adolescentes

Brindar información oportuna a las nuevas generaciones de sudcalifornianos, para que tomen decisiones favorables para su realización personal, es el principal objetivo de los Consultorios Amigables que la Secretaria de Salud en la entidad posee en 11 unidades de atención médica de primer nivel, donde los adolescentes reciben consejerías de salud sexual y reproductiva en un ambiente de absoluta confidencialidad.
Así lo indicó el titular de la dependencia, Víctor George Flores al mencionar que tan solo en el Centro de Salud Urbano de La Paz se han proporcionado dos mil 924 intervenciones a jóvenes de 10 a 19 años de edad, con orientación para prevenir embarazos no planeados, así como métodos anticonceptivos adecuados a las necesidades de cada persona, los cuales se otorgan en forma gratuita.
En esa unidad de salud que por su céntrica ubicación permite acercar estos servicios a adolescentes de diversas colonias, se han distribuido más de 800 preservativos en lo que va de 2017, pero también se ha promovido el cuidado de la salud sexual y reproductiva con énfasis en la prevención del embarazo no planificado, infecciones de trasmisión sexual y prevención de violencia sexual, subrayó.
Los 11 servicios amigables que existen en el estado cuentan con personal debidamente capacitado y sensibilizado para atender con calidad, pero sobre todo con el debido respeto y discreción que se merecen los adolescente al tratar temas de vital importancia para su desarrollo, como es el uso correcto de métodos anticonceptivos, prevención de violencia en el noviazgo y planificación familiar con un enfoque de equidad y responsabilidad, dijo George Flores.
El consultorio de Servicios Amigables del Centro de Salud Urbano “Francisco Cardoza Carballo” se encuentra en proceso de acreditación ante el Gobierno Federal, con el objetivo de corroborar que en ese espacio se cumple satisfactoriamente los criterios de capacidad, calidad y seguridad para el paciente, comentó el secretario del ramo, al puntualizar que esa unidad de atención médica posee una brigada de 65 adolescentes que voluntariamente replican esta información en las escuelas, para motivar a sus compañeros a que utilicen estos servicios y con ello estén en condiciones de tomar decisiones adecuadas para forjarse un mejor futuro.
