A partir del lunes 17 de diciembre el Gimnasio de Usos Múltiples Emilio “Milo” Mendoza suspenderá sus actividades regulares y solo se atenderán los entrenamientos de los selectivos estatales, abriendo sus puertas al público en general a partir del 8 de enero, informó el administrador de dicha instalación, José Luis Gómez Zúñiga.
Luego de señalar que actualmente las actividades se realizan con regularidad y con el agua en las condiciones adecuadas para la práctica de los deportes acuáticos, tras el descenso en la temperatura por la proximidad del invierno, Gómez Zúñiga dijo que en unos días más se suspenderán labores por vacaciones, además porque muchos de los usuarios prefieren disfrutar las fiestas de fin de año, para regresar en el mes de enero.
El administrador del GUM dijo que en la actualidad son poco más de 500 los usuarios que acuden a realizar práctica deportiva, tanto en el área acuática como en el resto de las disciplinas como son sanda, wushu, taekwondo, esgrima y gimnasia, por lo que a partir de enero las personas interesadas podrán inscribirse de manera regular y hacer deporte desde las 7:00 de la mañana a las 11:00 de la noche.
Aprovechó para hacer una invitación a la exhibición que ofrecerán el próximo lunes a las 17:00 horas los seleccionados de esgrima y clavados, en el marco de la ceremonia de entrega de becas que encabezará el gobernador Carlos Mendoza Davis, acompañado del director general del INSUDE, José Ávila Geraldo, a los deportistas destacados que representan a Baja California Sur a nivel nacional e internacional.
Finalmente, Gómez Zúñiga dijo que a través de las escuelas técnicas se ha intensificado la promoción de las diferentes disciplinas, ofreciendo a los padres de familias la oportunidad para que inscriban a sus hijos y les permitan desarrollar una actividad sana que además, a futuro puede significar el formar parte de las selecciones del estado.
