La Paz, Baja California Sur (BCS).- El día de ayer se dio a conocer un video en donde pescadores de la isla Bahía Magdalena confrontaron al alcalde de Comondú, Walter Valenzuela Acosta, luego de que este visitara el lugar acompañado de unos inversionistas interesados en comprar héctareas de tierra en una zona conocida como Punta Belcher.
Los habitantes, molestos, manifestaron no saber de las intenciones del edil, por lo que al enterarse decidieron acudir al lugar en donde le hicieron ver sus inconformidades y el rechazo a las negociaciones que pretende realizar.
Valenzuela Acosta, señaló que el objetivo de la venta es solventar los gastos del ayuntamiento comundeño que dijo, “prácticamente está en quiebra”, además indicó que el 75% de esa área ya le pertenece al Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) a causa de un endeudamiento que administraciones anteriores mantenían con el Gobierno Federal.
Durante el confrontamiento, el alcalde mencionó que lo único que se busca hacer es llevar desarrollo e inversión a la isla, en donde los principales beneficiados serían los mismos habitantes de la isla, postura que los lugareños rechazaron.
“Al final de cuentas es un desarrollo para la isla, porque el principal potencial económico sería la Isla, porque si se va a ocupar mano de obra van a ser ustedes los que se van a ocupar” expresó.
Finalmente, los pescadores mencionaron que no es culpa de ellos la situación financiera por la que atraviesa el ayuntamiento, además acusaron nunca ser tomados en cuenta en las decisiones que las autoridades toman respecto a la Isla.
