El secretario de Educación Pública en Baja California Sur, Héctor Jiménez Márquez, informó que este jueves 3 de septiembre se detectó el uso de un correo electrónico falso a su nombre y a través del cual se giran instrucciones a personal de la Secretaría para atender asuntos de carácter urgente, por lo que alertó a la estructura directiva y escolar de la SEP, así como a la población en general de hacer caso omiso de esta información a fin de evitar caer en una extorsión.
Jiménez Márquez enfatizó que la cuenta de correo electrónico falsa detectada es secretario_sepbcs@outlook.com desde la cual se han estado enviado diversas instrucciones a su nombre, por lo que exhortó a reportar esta acción y no atender las indicaciones, ni hacer contacto con los números telefónicos que en el mismo correo se envían.
El titular del sector educativo sudcaliforniano señaló que el área de informática de la SEP se encuentra trabajando para desactivar esta acción y reiteró que las comunicaciones oficiales de la dependencia se continúan haciendo por los medios institucionales ya conocidos y directamente a través de los titulares de los diferentes departamentos y la estructura de supervisores y directores.
