Los Cabos, Baja California Sur (BCS).– Para atender la gran deficiencia de agua potable que existe en las colonias de Los Cabos, -principalmente en Cabo San Lucas-, el titular del Oomsapaslc Arturo Sandoval Montaño, dio a conocer que se contemplan más obras para rehabilitar el sistema de red de agua potable, invirtiendo alrededor de $500 millones de pesos, de manera adicional a la planta desaladora.
Asimismo, durante el banderazo de inicio de obras en la colonia Lomas del Sol en Cabo San Lucas que encabezó la alcaldesa Armida Castro Guzmán, Arturo Sandoval Montaño, informó que en el rubro de agua potable, dentro del presupuesto del FAIS, se destinaron cerca de $35 millones de pesos para atender las necesidades del Organismo Operador.
“Estas obras en conjunto con la planta desaladora y el proyecto del Mejora Integral de Gestión (MIG), en el que se van a invertir cerca de $500 millones de pesos nos ayudará a hacer frente al desabasto de agua en el municipio”, refirió.
Para finalizar, el director general del Oomsapas Los Cabos, Arturo Sandoval Montaño, recordó que desde el inicio de la XIII Adminsitración la alcaldesa Armida Castro Guzmán ha gestionado ante las instancias del Gobierno Federal el próximo proyecto de la planta desalinizadora, mismo que vendrá a dotar un total de 250 litros de agua potable por segundo para las familias del municipio.
