Difunden en redes reto con fármaco; verifica COEPRIS que Farmacias cumplan las normas de venta

En el marco de sus funciones sustantivas, la Comisión Estatal para la Protección contra Riesgos Sanitarios (COEPRIS) lleva a cabo verificaciones de farmacias y consultorios que operan en los cinco municipios, a fin de constatar que den puntual cumplimiento a las disposiciones federales que regulan la venta y suministro de medicamentos y demás insumos para lasalud de la farmacopea en el país.
Aunque estas visitas se efectúan de manera habitual a lo largo del año para constatar el apego de los establecimientosal protocolo establecido por ley para los medicamentos que requieren de receta médica para su adquisición, en la actualidad se efectúan de manera prioritaria a fin de evitar la venta de un fármaco controlado que está asociado a un reto difundido en redes sociales, dijo el titular de la dependencia, José Manuel Larumbe Pineda.
El servidor público recordó que, por normatividad federal, los medicamentos controlados solo deben dispensarse mediante la prescripción emitida por un profesional de la medicina que esté registrado ante la autoridad sanitaria y cuyas recetas sean selladas y foliadas por esta comisión; además recordó que para comercializar este tipo de insumo, la farmacia o establecimiento de salud debe contar con una licencia específica para tal efecto.
La normatividad establece además que, aún cuando se presenta una receta debidamente sellada y con folio de algún medicamento controlado, la farmacia debe solicitar la identificación del usuario, esto como parte de las medidas implementadas a nivel país para favorecer el uso correcto de fármacos y evitar con esto riesgos para la salud de la población, dijo el médico al enfatizar el llamado a madres y padres de familia para vigilar que sus hijas e hijos no repliquen retos que pongan en riesgo su bienestar.
Hay fármacos, como el que indebidamente se ha utilizado en el denominado reto “el que se duerma al último, gana”, que de ser consumido sin supervisión médica puede generarproblemas graves de respiración o sedación y que incluso, si es combinado con determinados medicamentos, puede producir coma, finalizó.
