Al ser sede Loreto del ATMEX (Adventure Travel México), el evento de aventura más importante de México y Latinoamérica, el gobernador, Carlos Mendoza Davis afirmó que Baja California Sur ofrece una experiencia segura y de mayor confianza para los turistas en el mercado nacional y extranjero, “porque a pesar de la nueva realidad sanitaria que vive el mundo, no se ha detenido el trabajo y el impulso a nuestra vocación turística”, precisó.
Mendoza Davis señaló que en la media península “ofrecemos a los visitantes condiciones de sanidad en favor de su tranquilidad y salud. Contamos con prestadores de servicios capacitados en buenas prácticas higiénicas, somos el primer lugar nacional en establecimientos que han logrado la certificación de Punto Limpio, además de ser el primero del Pacífico Mexicano en alcanzar el sello Safe Travel del Consejo Mundial de Viajes y Turismo”.
Durante su intervención en reunión virtual, el mandatario sudcaliforniano insistió en que las circunstancias que privan a nivel mundial marcan la necesidad de buscar mecanismos que contribuyan a generar un beneficio social y a la preservación del patrimonio cultural y ambiental, algo en lo que se está poniendo empeño en esta administración.
En este evento en el que participaron el secretario federal de Turismo, Miguel Torruco Marqués; la alcaldesa de Loreto, Arely Arce Peralta; el secretario de Turismo del Estado, Luis Humberto Araiza López; Antonio del Rosal Stanford, director general de ATMEX; y, Jesús Ernesto Ordóñez Bastidas, director del Fideicomiso Estatal de Turismo, el jefe del Ejecutivo detalló que el turismo enfocado a la naturaleza es un medio inmejorable para el fortalecimiento del sector en favor de las y los sudcalifornianos, al tiempo de proteger el medio ambiente.
Este encuentro, que se desarrolla del 25 al 28 de octubre, tiene como objetivo ofrecer a este segmento en México más y mejores alternativas de fortalecer sus vínculos con la industria turística a nivel global. Representa la oportunidad de hacer negocios, cerrar alianzas estratégicas y crecer una red de contactos internacional para mostrar el producto turístico local a los 812 delegados, que incluyen a 114 compradores, 40 medios, 40 ponentes, 98 estudiantes, 18 estados de México, así como delegaciones de Argentina, Chile, Colombia y nueve países más de la región.
