La Paz, Baja California Sur (BCS). – La Tormenta Tropical “Olaf” continúa ganando intensidad en aguas del Pacífico mexicano y podría este jueves evolucionar a Huracán Categoría 1, informó la Comisión Nacional del Agua (CONAGUA).
Por su parte, el titular de la Subsecretaría de Protección Civil en el estado, ha informado que se espera, Olaf toque tierra esta noche en inmediaciones de San José del Cabo, lo haría como huracán.
De acuerdo al último reporte meteorológico, el centro del fenómeno se localiza a 300 km al sureste de Cabo San Lucas, presenta vientos máximos sostenidos de 110 km/h y rachas de 140 km/h, con desplazamiento hacia el nor-noroeste a 9 km/h.
Por lo tanto, sus bandas nubosas ocasionarán lluvias puntuales a torrenciales, a partir de este jueves en BCS, y rachas de viento de 80 a 100 km/h con oleaje de 5 a 7 metros en costas del estado, así como rachas de viento de 60 a 80 km/h con oleaje de 2 a 3 metros en el sur del Mar de Cortés.
Se establece Zona de prevención por efectos de huracán desde Los Barriles hasta Santa Fe; así como zona de prevención por efectos de tormenta tropical desde Santa Fe hasta Cabo San Lázaro, y desde Los Barriles hasta San Evaristo, BCS.
Se exhorta a la población extremar precauciones y mantenerse informados sobre la evolución del meteoro.
