Reconoce el Congreso la labor de las y los comunicadores

Los diputados José Rigoberto Mares Aguilar, presidente de la Comisión Permanente de Cultura y Artes, Eufrocina López Velazco (secretaria) y Juan Pérez Cayetano, (secretario), dieron primera lectura al dictamen de un proyecto de decreto para institucionalizar las medallas al mérito periodístico “Francisco King Rondero” y “Carlos Morgan Martínez” para reivindicar el compromiso de establecer mejores canales políticos y sociales en razón de la continuidad garantista del Estado para proteger el periodismo y la libertad de expresión y al mismo tiempo, honrar la memoria de dos personajes históricos del periodismo y la comunicación en la entidad, cuyos nombres llevan las preseas.
Preseas que fueron instituidas por primera vez mediante el decreto número 1918, publicado en el Boletín del Gobierno del Estado de Baja California Sur, número 41 de fecha 30 de junio de 2011, y abrogado el 14 de diciembre de 2017 en la XIV Legislatura.
No obstante, consideran importante retomar el propósito de Institucionalizar las medallas al mérito periodístico “Francisco King Rondero” y “Carlos Morgan Martínez” para reconocer a quienes por su trayectoria y dedicación se han distinguido en el ejercicio del derecho a la libertad de expresión, quienes realizan esa importante labor social de los diversos medios de comunicación sudcalifornianos, prensa, radio, televisión y transmisión virtual de noticias, por 30 y 25 años de manera ininterrumpida.
Al celebrarse hoy el Día dela Libertad de Expresión, la presidenta de la mesa directiva del Congreso del Estado diputada Gabriela Montoya Terrazas, llamó a las autoridades de los tres niveles de gobierno, para apoyarles la labor de comunicadoras y comunicadores, a protegerlos de quienes pretendan callarlos, porque es un atentado a la democracia y a sus derechos humanos.
Reconoció la labor de las reporteras y reporteros, “sin ellos, nuestro trabajo seria limitado, aún y con los avances tecnológicos que tenemos, en nuestro caso, que creamos normas jurídicas, posicionamientos y acuerdos, serían inútiles si no llegasen a nuestros representados a través de su labor”, expresó al hacer uso de la tribuna.
A través de un pronunciamiento presentado en la sesión de este martes, la legisladora de la fracción del Partido del Trabajo, aludió a que hoy 07 de junio se conmemora la libertad de expresión, 71 años de una labor fundamental en el crecimiento democrático de México, Estado y Municipios.
En su turno, la diputada María Luisa González Ojeda (PRD) mediante un pronunciamiento, destacó que las libertades de información y de expresión son piedras angulares en toda sociedad libre y democrática.
Al igual que su homóloga que la antecedió, reconoció la labor diaria, de quienes representan a los medios informativos, resaltando que el Congreso de Baja California Sur, honra el derecho de la libertad de expresión de manera permanente en el eco de sus muros de honor de la Sala de Sesiones “José María Morelos y Pavón, que integran a las voces de la historia y reflejan el pluralismo del país y de Sudcalifornia.
